Learn four connecting patterns: two actions at once, something happening in the meantime, a condition that must hold, and an action that comes right after another.
By the end, you can choose between -으며, -는 사이에, -는 한, and -는 대로 by meaning. You can also attach each one to verbs correctly, including ㄹ-stem verbs.
