Learn the formal endings -습니다/-ㅂ니다 and -습니까/-ㅂ니까, which you hear in news, announcements, meetings and presentations.
By the end, you can choose -습니다 or -ㅂ니다 (and -습니까 or -ㅂ니까) based on the final consonant of the verb stem, including ㄹ-stem verbs and nouns with 입니다. You can also tell when to use this formal style instead of -아요/어요.
