What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Duru Korean is a website for learning Korean. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
If you create an account: your email address. Your password is handled entirely by our authentication provider — we never see it, store it, or have any way to read it.
If you sign in with Google: Google gives us your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password or access anything else in your Google account.
Stored in your own browser: your chosen language, and a token that keeps you signed in. Both stay on your device and are cleared when you log out or clear your browser data.
We do not run advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts of any kind. We do not build profiles of you, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
Accounts and any resources you download are handled by Supabase, a hosted database and authentication service, on servers operated by Supabase and its infrastructure providers. Files we publish for learners are stored there as well.
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account record and the email address attached to it.
You can ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account entirely. Email us and we will act on it.
You can also stop using the site at any time without giving a reason.
Duru Korean is intended for general audiences. If you believe a child has given us personal information without a guardian's involvement, contact us and we will remove it.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Substantial changes will be announced on the site.
